    This kumite drill is required to earn the rank of hachi-kyu (yellow belt) within our club. Student should be able to display: 1) Proficiency of forward stance stepping forwards and backwards. 2) Half-facing forward stance (used when blocking) and full-facing forward stance (used when punching). 3) Full preparation (wrapping) for blocking tecniques. 4) Higate with all blocks and punches.

    This kata is required for the rank of sichi kyu (orange belt). Student should be able to demonstrate: 1) knowledge of back stance weight displacement 2) side-snap kick 3) proper use of spearhand (nukite) 4) pressing block (osae uke) and passing block (nagashi uke) 5) inverted stance (tai sabaki) with outward block.

    This kata is required to earn the rank of hachi kyu (yellow belt) within our club. Student should be able to display: 1) A knowledge of forward stance. 2) A clear distinction should be seen between half-facing forward stance (used when blocking) and full-facing forward stance (used when punching). 3) Full preparation (wrapping) for low block. 4) Straight punches at stomach level. Junior ranks must be able to perform this kata up to the first "kia" point for the junior han-yellow belt.
